Cafeteria
All students are able to eat a FREE breakfast and/or lunch at BSE!
Breakfast is served daily from 7:15 - 7:35 am. Each class is assigned a specific lunch time.
Students do have the opportunity to purchase additional ala carte items. Items may be paid for in cash OR under parents corner with the meal pay icon.
Health Services
During the school year, all students are eligible to participate in certain health services. Health screenings including vision, hearing, and scoliosis will be conducted at various grade levels. Parents will be notified if these screenings indicate need for follow-up.
If a parent does not wish for his/her child to participate in these screenings, the parent needs to send a written note to the Principal on a yearly basis requesting that the child be excluded from participation. Health services begin the first week of school. Parents are encouraged to call the school if they have health concerns regarding their child. The visiting school health nurses come once a month to provide health counseling, health education, and assistance with medical referrals and necessary follow-up.
Free flu shots are also offered through the health department each year, and given to students on campus. Forms are sent home for those who wish for their child(ren) to recieve this free vaccine.
Remedial Programs
School improvement funds are used to provide remedial programs to non-proficient reading students after school. Several teachers also offer tutorial programs on their own for non-proficient students as a way to assist students meeting state standards. Invitations and notices about tutoring are sent home through the duration of the program.

Transportation is not provided, families are expected to pick up their students by 4 pm each week. If interested, please call our front office or you may contact Pastor Lee Fox at 352-233-6404.
